Title: No. 2 Gymnastics Beats Kentucky, 196.000-194.700 Post by: Jamos on February 10, 2012, 09:34:30 PM The No. 2 ranked Alabama gymnastics team beat Kentucky 196.000-194.700 in Memorial Coliseum Friday night in front of 1,644 fans who braved the snow outside.
"This was one of those blue collar nights," UA head coach Sarah Patterson said. The ladies BB team is really suffering this year, they only have nine players left due to injury and discipline issues. One of the injuries was a career ending injury and she was one of their better players. Coaching a womens team is much more difficult than coaching a mens team especially if the coach is a male. I used to play golf and fish with Rick Moody, ex Bama womens coach, and you would be surprised at some of the issues he had to deal with. I had a good warm-up to having 3 daughters when I worked for a manufacturing company during the 80's. I was the quality department manager and was responsible for 34 female quality inspectors. Issues, issues, issues! |
