The girls are playing typical Bama softball that we have come to expect and enjoy. CPM has an awesome program. I am glad he did not leave us.

Roll Tide.

Here is an article on the two wins yerterday.

Quote
The No. 1 ranked Alabama softball team swept day two of the Easton Alabama Invite, defeating UMass, 8-0, and Maryland, 9-1 Saturday at Rhoads Stadium. The two wins gave UA head coach Patrick Murphy his 700th victory while at the helm of the Crimson Tide program. After the day, Alabama stays perfect at 16-0 on the season.

The only problem with the games yesterday was that I didn't take enough warm clothing with me, I did get cold.  :ice:

Traina gave us some insight on what to expect from her in the future. She was far better yesterday than any game I've seen her pitch, she had great control and good movement on her pitches. She swung a pretty good bat as well, something that hasn't been there for awhile.

Jury showed some maturity in her game as she battled back from many challenging moments  to pitch a complete game. She has good speed on her pitch but is lacking the movement of the ball and that should start improving with each game that she pitches.

The freshmen are still impressing me with their skillls on the playing field, defensively they add a lot to the team and their bats aren't too shabby either. Danielle Richard, from Priceville, and Dannae Hays, from Morris, have really shown a lot with their bats and gloves, Hays is the starting shortstop and Richard is seeing some time at 3rd. JadlySpencer, Iowa girl, continues to impress with her bat, I wouldn't be a bit surprised to she her start earning some time as the DP of the team.

Bama plays UAB today and the sun will be shining, but you can bet on me having some extra warm clothing in my car today.  ;) Roll Tide!!

I posted this after the first game yesterday.  At the end of the day we were 16-0.   And yes....that's even more perfect. 8)

I know we have a great coach. I too, am so very glad he didn't leave. I see he has 700 wins and if he stays he will break a 1000. RTR!
