Good bracket and good match-up for Tide in the first round. Glad to see 5 SEC teams still in his brackets. The 8/9 slot is probably the toughest for an above-average team like Bama. You play a solid team in the first round, then you have to play the #1 seed in your bracket, which makes it such a tough seed. This year, if they beat S. Miss., they would have to play Kansas. It would be interesting to see the Releford brothers playing on opposite teams. Either way, the 8/9 seed is really been tough on Bama over the years.

I've seen them, I think as a 9, vs. Memphis (dangerous) on FOX and Iowa St. (also dangerous) on the CBS picks.

Yeah, looks like an 8/9 seed is our lot this year. Tough road to hoe in the Tourney. Unless we can win at least 2 games in the SEC Tourney, we probably won't move up in seeding.

Funny how this changes daily.  And it is speculation anyway.  Does the guy keep changing his mind, or did one game have such a huge impact?

Yes; yes.

So. Miss would be the path of least resistance. Best wins were at home against Ole Miss and a split with Memphis. Iowa St. just beat Baylor last week and Memphis finished kinda strong-- also had 2 wins over UT.

If you are seeded in the 7-10 range, which we should be, you are going to get a difficult game in the first round. Win that game and you are looking at a No. 1 or 2 seed in the second round. A very difficult path to the Sweet 16.

IF you are going to win it all, you gotta beat the 1 seed anyway.  Might as well do it early and get their easy draw the rest of the way.  I would rather be matched up with a power 6 conf team in the first round.  I might be thinking too much, but it seems like our younger guys would play better against a team they "think" is better.  Any you know they would respect a big name more than a So Miss.
Doesn't matter, these guys are mostly just good at getting the teams right, not the matchups.

I'm just happy to know we will be playing next week somewhere!!!!!

The one time Bama made the Sweet 16, it beat a No. 1 seed to get there.

If we have to play Kansas in the 2nd game that would be a monster game. Just my hope of looking ahead some what. Sweet Sixteen bound. lol, RTR!
