We lose  a couple more guys. Lacy and Arie K. won't be ready for spring.

Aight somebody talk to me. This with Lacy sort of concerns me. All the Reps for Spring is gone, how good can he be coming in at the Fall start? AK I thought was our big man to hold up the left side of the O-line this year? RTR!

Arie plays the right side. Cryus is the one you are thinking of. I think Lacey will be just fine.

Three suspensions will leave Alabama somewhat short-handed at wide receiver when spring practice begins. Saban said Michael Bowman, Ronald Carswell and Duron Carter, who were suspended at different times last year, remain suspended.

I am beginning to think Duron Carter will never step foot on the field as a Bama player.

Not happy about Love and Billingsley not coming back. OL depth is a big concern this year and Tyler would have been a valuable backup. Undra was a good backup last year and got some valuable minutes. We have plenty of depth at DL so losing him is not as big a deal, but Undra was a good player. I am not so sure about our OL this year, especially with Arie still not cleared. If Cyrus comes back 100% and locks down the LT position we will be in good shape. If not, we are one injury away from a bad season (by our standards).

I am beginning to think you are right.

Good news about Mosely. Love was definitely a 5***** bust, but I wish him the best in life. He still has two National CHampionship rings. Also, what's going on with these suspensions? I must have missed something.

 ???

Saban also said linebacker C.J. Mosley, who dislocated his hip in the BCS National Championship Game, has recovered nicely and was cleared last week to participate fully in the offseason program.

Offensive lineman Tyler Love, defensive lineman Undra Billingsley and punter Jay Williams will not return to the UA football program.

"Jay Williams has decided not to participate in football and will try to play baseball," Saban said. "Tyler Love and Undra Billingsley both graduated. Both guys have a fifth year, both guys chose not to come back. They're going to go ahead and graduate and move on, which happens on occasion with fifth-year guys."

"Ya know, Coach Saban, just because this worked for Coach Grant doesn't mean it'll work on these guys."   :wall:

I just can't understand the Carter situation. Is this the eligibility issue carried over from last year or something else? If he never sees the field, that will be such a letdown after all we've heard about his talent. I hope we know something by fall.

We will still be fine at WR. The answer is Black and White. ;-)

I am not really worried about EL.  In my opinion he proved himself in the fall.  Yes, it would be good to get quality reps with contact, but I think he can pick it up easily.

Coach Saban didn't say "ineligible"; he said "suspended".  Possibly academics, lack of class attendance, or curfew violations.  Hopefully it's something relatively benign.

Perhaps a good suggest may be a team roster with the status, or last reported information for each player. If made a sticky you would just have to quote the previous post and edit the info on a player. The list on this linked report for instance, will be lost and the same question about Carter (or the others) will surface again.

Eddie Lacey is still on crutches from his toe surgery or he was at the Auburn basketball game, this would explain why he won't participate in spring practice. This isn't so bad, Lacey is a proven running back and there are some that really need the reps that Lacey would have gotten.

I agree.  He will get plenty of work in the summer.  This gives the other backs more reps in the spring.
