Title: "Tide targeting top quarterback prospects for 2013"

While few coaches in America have been able to equal Nick Saban's recruiting efforts over the last five years at Alabama, one position Saban and his staff has struggled to recruit for is quarterback. Alabama's lack of history when it comes to high-profile quarterbacks as well as its reputation as a running-based offense have made it difficult for the Crimson Tide to attract the nation's elite signal callers.

The quarterback position is likely to be one of the top priorities in Alabama's 2013 recruiting class and the Tide has already extended scholarship offers to a number of the nation's elite quarterback prospects.

Topping the list is Sammamish, Washington, star Max Browne, rated the nation's No. 1 pro-style passer by 247Sports. Browne, a 6-foot-5, 210-pound prospect, holds offers from virtually every major program in the nation but the Crimson Tide may have an edge thanks to new offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier, who had already built a strong relationship with Browne while he was still at Washington.

Interesting that he says Saban has been unable to recruit elite QBs. When he was recruited, Sims was a 5 star and listed as the no 1 pocket QB in the nation. AJ was a 4 star and one of the top 10 QBs in the nation. I'd say both of those guys qualify as elite.
