I went to visit TAZ today and he seemed to have improved some. He is taking some heavy duty antibiotics and hopefully they will continue to work.

I told him that he was on our prayer list and he asked me to tell all of you thanks.

Do you have any further updates on Taz?  The group on Facebook Tidesports is asking about him and missing him AND praying for him.  We would love current news over there.

Yes, I visited with him today. He has been moved from the MCIU unit to a regular room and this is an improvement. He still has congestion but he said he was feeling some better but not great just yet. As I was leaving today a group of 5 doctors/assistants came into his room so hopefully they were bringing him some good news. I will visit him again tomorrow and maybe I will have some better news for you. I will tell him that all his friends on facebook are inquiring about him.

I visited him again today and he is still improving. There's a chance he will get to go home by this weekend if he continues to improve .

That's great news.  Tell him that if he doesn't hurry up and get well that I'm gonna have Runt come down and take him for a spin in his chair... ;)

I didn't get to visit with TAZ today, but I did get to chat with his dad for a few minutes. TAZ continues to show improvement but is still got some more improving to do before he can go home. TAZ was a very sick young man when he entered the hospital but he has responded pretty good to his medications. Their plans are still to get him out by the weekend and hopefully that will be the case. I plan on visiting him again tomorrow, so maybe I will have some going home news for all of you after my visit.

I hope he continues to improve so he can go home. Nothing worse than being laid up in the hospital.

I visited TAZ today and he is still showing improvement but the doctors want him to stay over the weekend and possibly go home the first of next week. Naturally he feels like he's ready to go home but he understands he's not quite ready. He is in good spirits and I told him about all of you and your concerns and prayers for him and that got a big smile from him and he says thanks to all of you.

I know a few of you post mainly over here and don't always read the posts on the quad, but Taz passed away today. Jamos will fill us in on the details later. A very sad day.  :(

Just found out about this, and I am heart broken. God Bless his family. Taz is one of the few forum members I have met personally.

NOooooooooo.  Right now I am so sick in my heart to hear this news.  . :(   TAZ was such an inspiration for us all.  God Bless Him and his family.   

I am so sad to hear about Taz. I had the honor to meet him back in the "older days". Prayers for his family and loved ones.

I am truly heartbroken over all of this, but our loss here on earth is heaven's gain. Taz is a happy guy right now, and the angels are rejoicing as another saint has made his way home. I am truly jealous of all of y'all that knew Taz personally, but just trading messages with him here and on TS was truly honor. God bless you, buddy, and prayers for your family.  :pray:

I got the text from a good friend earlier this afternoon....and I couldn't even reply. I'm at a loss of words when it comes down to something like this...

I'll always remember Patrick's love for Alabama Football and other sports there @  the Capstone. The two times that we met at A-Day @ Denny Chimes, and @ a Barbecue hosted by other forum friends (TS) we had a ball and ole Taz was always the life force of the party/gathering.

We've lost an invaluable friend...a brother...and a Son. Of many people that I have ever encountered....he was the most............................beloved person that I have EVER had the pleasure of being around.

God Bless you my ole friend...Your Family, will be in my thoughts and my prayers.

Couldn't have said it any better. Though I didn't know it at that time,our chance meeting at Childrens Hospital in the Spina-Bifida clinic would turn out to be more than just a meeting. We hooked up again on TS and remembered each other from the hospital. He was FB friends with my entire family,and always checked in on my middle daughter,Cady who has similar conditions,and wheelchair bound since birth. Words cannot express the sorrow I am feeling at this time,yet I know he is no longer in pain,in a better place. We love you Taz. RIP

I know you are #1. I'm not a regular here,but I always took time out in the morning on FB IM to say a few words to Taz if I had internet service. He was always 1st one on in mornings,and me having worked the graveyard and already up worked out. I was fortunate enough to be home from the Gulf to attend his funeral. It was a celebration of his life,and it was awesome,kleenexs' not withstanding. Every picture Taz ever had made at Tide games/Aday they could find were shown on 2 video projectors before a packed house.
