I'm no fan of this sport, but this is about as impressive as it gets:

Either that or Ted Roof is his coach.

It is not all on the goalkeeper.  They got past a whole team full of people before they were even in range to take a shot on goal.

Just guessing; were you a goalie, SC?

No, I never played.  But I have been coaching my daughter for 4 years.  None of those kids want to be the goalkeeper because they feel horrible if the other team scores even once.

It is a team sport though.  It would be almost (but not quite) like blaming the Free Safety every time the other team scores a touchdown in football.

A better metric for goalkeeper would be goals allowed vs. shots on goal.  If they had 500 shots on goal and the goalkeeper stopped all but 50, that is not too bad.  However if they were 50 out of 50, that is not to good.

I'm sure this goalkeeper was not that great, but just as certain that the rest of his team was equally horrible.

I'm guessing that team was 58 out of 58 and gassed.
