First, when asked about his thoughts on Nick Saban and the job he’s done at Alabama:

““He’s got a nice little gig going, a little bit like Calipari. He tells guys, ‘Hey, three years from now, you’re going to be a first-round pick and go.’ If he wants to be the greatest coach or one of the greatest coaches in college football, to me, he has to go somewhere besides Alabama and win, because they’ve always won there at Alabama.”

WTH?   :o

Yeah, in between CPBB and Saban, there has been Coach Stallings and er, uh, um............................................................................

That's just Spurriers way of saying he would love for CNS to leave so his mediocre program could have a chance. Biggest "sour grapes" coach in the history of college athletics.

Steve 'Superior" is the biggest POS I have ever seen ...he was a smartarse in college, and he has always been a smartarse..I can't say on this forum what I really feel towards him, think of him.  he is just a loser..and USCe is a loser school.  The fans however fro the most part are all right.

Saban's comments? none..which is just what I am sure he feels toward ol steverino.

First of all, CNS does not have a nice little gig going, he has the best. Second, he is nothing like Calipari, he hasn't gotten anyone put on probation but he does win national Championships. Third, CNS speaks the truth about getting players to a first round draft pick level for the pros. Fourth, Bama doesn't always win, we weren't winning when CNS was hired.

Is Spurrier trying to get some attention, this is something that CNS has totally taken away from him. If I'm not mistaken, I think that Spurrier was once considered for the Bama job and I wonder why he didn't want it.  :dunno:

I don't think CNS tells recruits in three years they will be first round draft choices.  I do think he may tell them they will be well prepared for the next level.

I think he has already won somewhere besides Alabama.  I didn't think LSU was ever consistently relevant until Saban arrived.

The burn on Georgia was classic though. I laughed hard at that one. But I'm sure the AJC will somehow blame Spurrier's comment on CNS.

I can't help but like The Old Ball Coach. There is a lot of truth to what he is saying. Where else can Curry, Dubose, Fran and Shula have 10 win seasons? He took a fun shot at CNS but he turned around and said he is the best coach in the SEC.

He is a pompous, arrogant, antogonist. He is not ahppy unless he is pushing the buttons of other people. Tim Brando is the same way. That's why he takes the shots at Bama fans like he does. He knows exactly what he is doing and enjoys it to no end.
