Title: Hundreds of eyes on UA practice Post by: Terrie1959 on March 25, 2011, 06:56:06 PM The University of Alabama held its third spring practice on Friday under the watchful eyes of hundreds of high school coaches on hand for UA’s football coaches clinic. Here were some observations from Friday’s workout.
*** After two days of working at the center position, fourth-year junior Tyler Love returned to his normal spot at offensive tackle Friday. It remains to be seen whether Love settles back at his old spot or sees more action with his hands on the ball. With Love back at left tackle, freshman Chad Lindsey saw some work at center, as did another freshman - Kellen Williams. With the loss of David Ross to graduation, the Crimson Tide must groom another center behind starter William Vlachos. *** Still no sign of suspended defensive back Robby Green, whose status with the team remains uncertain. Green, who hasn’t played since 2009 after serving an NCAA suspension for the 2010 season, has now missed 20 percent of spring drills. UA coach Nick Saban did not rule out the possibility of Green returning before the end of spring drills when he announced the suspension Monday. http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/news?slug=rivals-1204510 (http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/news?slug=rivals-1204510) Title: Re: Hundreds of eyes on UA practice Post by: BAMADCHAMPSHIPS on March 25, 2011, 06:59:16 PM I was just about to post this. #+

Good job, as always, Terrie. Title: Re: Hundreds of eyes on UA practice Post by: Jamos on March 26, 2011, 06:48:19 AM Green has been in the doghouse for a long time, burned toast is the best description for him.

Either he is the victim of choosing friends poorly (wrong pacle, wrong time), or he's such a talent that CNS doesn't want him on an opponent's roster. As I said in an earlier post on another thread, CNS was speaking with us at NSD and Green was mentioned and he rolled his eyes. I think the guy just doesn't do the things he's been asked to do when he's been asked to do them. Can't remember where I heard it, but the latest episode was rumored to be "failure in the weight room". Title: Re: Hundreds of eyes on UA practice Post by: Terrie1959 on March 26, 2011, 10:33:36 AM What would failure in the weightroom mean? Couldn't do the work? WOULDN'T do the work? Disruptive?
I just don't understand these guys. Their future prospects could be so great IF they'd show a little discipline, determination, morals and work ethic. If you have those, you can succeed in life Title: Re: Hundreds of eyes on UA practice Post by: ricky023 on March 26, 2011, 10:40:14 AM I would say the whole College Football world has eyes on UofA practice. RTR!
