Title: It's Saban - End of Story
Post by: ALTideUp on April 28, 2012, 09:21:36 PM
Look through the stories on our 2012 draft picks. Many of them say stuff like this.....

Quote
Kirkpatrick is a physical cornerback who impressed the Bengals with his understanding of Alabama’s complex defensive system. Defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer said the system Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban has in place is more complicated than the Bengals’.

Remember when Javie was a rookie and their were stories of him going up to the board at meetings explaining the defensive sets?

And almost all of them refer to CNS. Stories about other draftees rarely reference their coach, or the quality of their mental and skills preparation. It really is about coach. We are damned lucky.

You are right, AL, we are very damned lucky to have CNS. I still can't get over the media smelling blood in the water after Shula was fired. They all thought Bama was a doomed program that no coach, worth his salt, would ever want to take on. Oh how times have changed!

As I've stated in other threads, it's very hard for me to believe a top rated recruit would turn down an offer from CNS to play at Bama unless he felt he wasn't good enough to beat the competition and abide by the rules.  ???  :dunno:

CNS is establishing a new standard in college football that will be difficult to match. We hear of college football coaches coming to Tuscaloosa to to see what he doing. We keep hearing NFL coaches and prominent media extolling the virtues of his  prep program training these kids to succeed at the next level.

Yes, we are indeed fortunate to have CNS as our coach.

He has made Tuscaloosa the epicenter of college football.
