Title: Report: George 'Goober' Lindsey dead at age 76 Post by: Jamos on May 06, 2012, 12:28:33 PM I met Goober at a Bama/Vandy football game at Vandy as we were walking to our seats. He was behind us and I could hear him talking and I turned around and said, Goober, and he said yes it is. We had an interesting 10 minute conversation as he introduced me to his nephew and explaine that he never went to Bama, he went to Florence State. He did autograph my cap for me that I still have. RIP Goober. :( :pray:

We have been going to the UNA website on a regular basis lately. The picture below has been on their home page since his death.

We have been going to the UNA website on a regular basis lately. The picture below has been on their home page since his death. He always spoke well of him.
