That's the first I've heard of it.  I'm not buying it though.  OSU is probably going to get hammered by the NCAA.  I don't see why he would go there when he could rest for a little while and wait for the next Notre Dame opening, or any other big name school for that matter.  My guess is that he doesn't come back until all of his kids are in college.

I agree SC. I think OSU would be the last place he would go.

The Orlando Sentinel HATES Meyer.  They'd love to see this rumor catch legs just to hear the UF faithful run him down for jumping ship in post-Tebow era leaving a team full of attitudes and trouble makers behind for Coach Muschamp.

If you're not familiar with the Sentinel-Meyer spats of the past they have far outshined the B'ham News' hatred for all things related to Bama and CNS.

It's been a rumor for a couple days. Colin Cowherd mentioned it on the radio the Friday, not as a fact but that he had heard it as a rumor. Supposedly, Urban and his wife bought a house in Ohio, so everyone is losing their mind about it. One thing those people don't realize is that he and his wife are both from Ohio originally, so it isn't out of the ordinary if they do get a house there.

Yeah, but he's buying the house in Columbus, OH, home to the Buckeyes so it's easy to see why people might think something is up with him & OSU. He's from Toledo. Maybe his or his wifes parents are still alive in the area. Also, he coached at OSU for 3 or 4 years with the Wr's & TE's. Still, who keeps an extra house in a ritzy area of Columbus, OH?

Maybe I am missing something here, but I really don't get this rumor. I understand that OSU is a prime job, but with the great possibility that the NCAA is going to drop the hammer on them, why would CUM want to jump into such a situation?

Here's what I heard from a friend of mine. The situation is a lot worse than it looks, the NCAA is also trying to dig deeper into their drug testing that is mandated at every D1 university and it's basically a joke and that tatoo parlor and several other local business' the tatoo parlor in particular was a front for drug trafficking and a few of the players had their hands in the cookie jar. The thought now is if Ohio St totally clean house getting rid of Gene Smith and the whole coaching staff, the NCAA will give them a break and hiring a guy like Urban who in the NCAA's eyes came out and denounced the dirty recruiting etc in the SEC makes him look squeaky clean (I don't agree with that, but it's what I've heard) it's gonna be an interesting offseason

Yes I agree but we do have to sit back and wait on the secret stuff to come to light and it will. RTR!
