Title: Alabama advances to 1st-ever Women's College World Series finals
Post by: Jamos on June 03, 2012, 05:30:13 PM
The Crimson Tide eliminated the eight-team tournament's top seed to get there, as it downed California, 5-2, on Sunday at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.

No. 2 Alabama will face No. 4 Oklahoma, which eliminated No. 3 Arizona State, 5-3, earlier in the day, in a best-of-three series for a shot at the program's and SEC's first-ever WCWS title. Game 1 is set for Monday at 7 p.m. Game 2 and Game 3 (if necessary) are slated for Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively, at 7 p.m

Roll Tide!

I am looking forward to a few more days of softball. Oklahoma has a good pitcher in Ricketts but I think we can hit anybody. We have been solid as a rock all year. All we need is two more wins to close this WCWS out and bring home the NC trophy.

Great Job ladies.

After watching Ricketts today, I am fully convinced that we can hit her.  She was aided greatly by an ump with a very liberal strike zone.

Jackie Traina is a fierce competitor and a great pitcher, but frankly she scares me to death with numerous full counts and walks.  She did some real clutch pitching today as a result of said walks.

Roll Tide
