Except for that 1st year, there weren't that many good Atlanta teams until Glavine, Smoltzy, Maddux and Avery made them contenders every year. I was so proud of them for winning it all in '95, and they broke my heart with the way they lost to the Yankees in '96. It really is a shame they didn't win more, but I've pulled for them every year, regardless if they were good or bad. I hope this year's team kicks major butt.

Preacher, that's the year I was talking about. We stomped Yankee butt the first 2 games in Yankee stadium. Andruw Jones hit 3 home runs in the 1st game, I believe. Smoltzy pitched a gem in game 3 in Atlanta, but the Braves could not hit that day and we lost. We were up 6-0 in game 4 and that blasted drunk, Jim Leyrits hit a 3 run homer to tie the game in the 9th and then went on to win in extras.
