OK Coach, I have a question. Others are welcome to chime in as well. It seems to me that the proliferation of 7 on 7 is ruining important parts of football. There is no premium on blocking and tackling.  How can OL develop if all you do is pass protect. Defense has become less important because the goal is just to keep scoring.

I bring this up because my son's middle school team plays this way. Granted I love old man football, but my son is a lineman and they spend such little time on run blocking . Every move is backwards to pass protect.  They never run the ball. They screen and drift out. All schools have gone to this.

The Big 12 started it and if I were a lineman with a future, why play there. I look at Texas and I wonder what happened. They can't block. It is a fundamental that is being thrown away. Someone please help me make sense of this. Every game I shoot on Friday night s like this. Games last forever and teams win 38-35. Help.

I feel sorry for the scoreboard operator.

Does AC have plantar fiischeitis or however it is spelled. I have it and sometimes it hurts like hell. Had is surgically repaired and it is better. It can be a bad injury.

Maybe the tie breaker should be total points in the aTm-OM game. Neither plays defense worth a lick.

I have been saying this for awhile. Softball and baseball and non revenue sports are hurt by not having lottery schollys. I'm in TN and it has definitely helped kids go to school. My wife sees it on the other end with dollars going into the classroom. She is a teacher. The state of Alabama needs to get with it.

Great job Coach. I think the Oline will be better with Lindsay in there. He was more animated  with the line calls. He seemed to take charge.
With more time AJ was able to find receivers. The biggest thing I noticed was DB Eddie Jackson. He may be the missing link to the secondary issues. He did a great job last night.

True. But OM only had 206 in total yards with 46 rushing yards.
