I like playing Goose Pond. It is a fun course. The lake only comes into play on about three holes but the water provides a beautiful background. There are a few ditches and ponds that also have water that will eat up a bad shot. The mountains across the lake are also nice. It is not long and you can shoot a good score if you stay in the fairway. I have not played there lately but they used to keep it well maintained. I think you will like it.
Helpful hint: Number 2 is par 5 with an uphill tee shot that is straight forward. Your second shot will go over the top of the hill will the green straight downhill from there. Your second shot will be blind. There is a bank to the left. You need to favor that side. If you hit the middle of the fairway everything will go right and will run out of the fairway into trouble. I have seen people hit what looked like perfect shots and end up in trouble. A ride to the top of the hill will help, in fact you need to do that anyway since you can not see the group in front of you clear the fairway.
Thanks for the info it came in handy. The course was in perfect shape. A lot of beautiful scenery. Shot an 81 and left plenty of shots on the course. I got stupid a couple of time. #4 was hard but I hit a hybrid to perfect yardage and made one of 3 birdies out there. My buddies and I had a great time.the fdried Elvis sandwich was pretty good. It tied me over at the turn. By the way the par 5s are kind of long. None were reachable, some back into the breeze. I will definitely go back. By the way it was a good day played 18 holes with one ball. It was a little scuffed but was in good shape.

I can't wait to play it. Looks like fun.
Give us a full report. Looks like a good place to hold the first annual CRS golf tournament. Full report with game notes on Wednesday night!

Here is a different perspective on the game. My extra 2 cents. This was an unusual game. Texas A&M runs a no huddle hurry up. The move fast. Therefore Alabama had to keep pace. That offense puts stress on the D making it plain and no gameplan. It is strictly backyard football score fast and get the ball back. We could not dial up any blitzes or shift coverage, it was strictly man on man defense.
Our offense and even the defense kept up the pace. We often went no huddle. Once we got a 21 point lead we tried to run and burn clock. We scored out of that style. We will have to play this away against other teams, OM, Aubie and maybe Oregon. Just get ready for it.
Our offense is really good. Look at the combinations of scores we had. We quick strikes with KB and gave them the hammer on Yeldon's TD before half and on Fowler's TD late in the game.
A&M just has the ability to score so fast, everyone relax. Our defense is and will be pretty good

My two cents. JF is a special talent. He makes dumb plays and if we weren't so spread out, those throws back to the middle of the field get picked. We had one for a TD by VINNIE. Those couple of jump balls were poorly played by the secondary.
Offense looked great minus the Yeldon fumble. The line blocked and gave AJ an enormous amount of time to throw. The guys up front were able to move their man and open big holes. I think we will see more of JF at RB. He is the bruiser and tough yard guy. He maybe should have been in instead of TJ on that fumble.
D line was good but the DBs need work and that is CNS strong suit so we shall see what next week brings.
I look for power football next week.

My 2 cents:
great game, great resiliency by D and O..nobody quit, DB's need some work, OL needs more discipline....A&M is well-coached, got a great QB and a great WR..we beat 'em , but we did not make their arses quit!
A win is a win, and I am glad we don't play 5 quarters!
Oh, yeah, I would not like to be in Drake's shoes next week. classless move.
Overall, I feel relieved for the remainder of the season.
ROLL, TIDE!
What did Drake do. I saw Yeldon's dumb move.
