Bama wins 5-4 in 9 innings.

They were losing the 2nd game 4-3 going into the top of the 7th and score  a run to tie it up.  Now in the top of 8th.

Bama playing UNLV today/tonight.  Won the first game 8-0 and leading the 2nd game 3-1 in the bottom of the 3rd.

Seeing Sark pulled his name for consideration for Colorado job.

Looks like Bama has some good young players.  Freshman Owen Diodati had went 6 for 9 in the opening series.  He had 3 home runs, a double, and a triple.  Freshman Conner Prielipp was the opening day pitcher who went 4 innings and gave up one hit.  Soph Conner Shamblin started the 2nd game and went 5 innings giving up 3 hits.  Drew Williamson Soph, picked up from a good year from last year.  Red shirt Soph, Sam Praytor also played well it seems.

Jones had a hell of a game basically playing with one hand.  I also thought Smith played well.

Also kept the turnovers under 10, I think.  Only had 3 in the first half, according to the announcers.

Bama has jumped to a 16 point lead 53-37, 15:27 to go.

Bama up by 11,40-29 at half.  Herb Jones doing a great job playing with a modified cast.

Bama got in a hole early  and fought back.  I don't think this happens if AJ was the coach.  Bama was hurt by a couple of bad spells of cold shooting, like the opening of the game and the beginning of overtime.  They were also hurt by the lack of rebounding especially with the numerous offensive rebounds by AU which led to points.  I truly believe Oats has Bama on the right track.  This game could actually have a positive effect on Bama's confidence since they came from so far back against what is supposed to be a top quality team(I really hate making that statement when it comes to AU).  I would also like to see them go to the NIT as opposed to the big Dance, as everyone calls it, where they could possibly have more success which could carry over into the next year.

Too bad there isn't and EpiPen for that.

Sad he couldn't keep his act together, he showed promise as being a very good edge rusher.
