Yep, we just got the heads up too. We will shutdown at 1600 tomorrow.

The National Guard is a different animal. We have people that are active military and those that are in a civilian status during the week but military for drill weekend and annual training. They will have to use leave time. Those that are active Guard will be working without pay till they(Congress)  get their crap together, or that's the rumor anyway. Currently our budget is holding it's collective breath. We have people that are supposed to be going to schools but any travel after 5 April is still on hold. For us that puts a crimp into a lot of our statewide planning.

I am reading George Bush's book "Decision Points".

It is very good. The book explains the key issues while he was president and why he made the decisions he did. I really enjoyed his point of view when explaining the election with Al "I invented the internet" Gore and the Florida recount.

That one is on my list.

Well, the title of the thread itself will probably keep some people from even opening this!  Cheesy

I would love to read and discuss any books you may be interested in. I am currently reading "Unbreakable". The story of a WWII bomber who survived a crash into the ocean followed by 47 days at sea then 30 plus months in a Japanese POW camp. Phenomenal book.

Allie throw your review in here too once you're done!  Wink

Moderation people that is key! I fried some zucchini in bacon grease, sprinkled parmesean cheese on it then topped with the cooked bacon. Ok, so the kids weren't real crazy about it but I thought it was good. Allie, love that bacon dip!  Cheesy

I read doctor's writing all day- No way I'm gonna spend leisure time deciphering someone else's scribble scrabble without being compensated.  :-)

Exactly! Although, I think there is a lot more to this than the FBI wanting help. I just find it hard to believe that an FBI desk riding computer geek can't figure this out. But, if it is true then once they do break it maybe this is the way military secrets need to be encrypted. Germans never could break the Navaho(sp) code.
12  Around Campus / Ferguson Student Center / Re: Einstein....the world's smallest horse on: March 28, 2011, 10:10:51 PM
Obviously that isn't a regular sized soccer ball...

True, it's an Equi ball. About 4-5x the size of a regular soccer ball and softer. Used to keep horses from getting bored and developing bad habits. He's 20" at the withers, definitely taller than a regulation soccer ball.
13  Around Campus / Ferguson Student Center / Re: I'm being invaded by red wasp ... on: March 24, 2011, 10:08:24 PM
Buddah?!...won't save you from gettin torn up by these red painful marauders.

One shot...one kill. Bamabratt...this does NOT include bringin an M-16/M-4 to pick off the stragglers... Wink[b[/b]

Anything...includin those dastardly wood-borin bumblebees, that keep that kamikaze flight path towards you, are free game.

For those, as in wasps or other such stingin pestilence. Wait till nightfall... Do you feel lucky punk
