To answer the OP's question, it may not have cost golf as much as you think. I know several people that were tired of Tiger's dominance (I was not one of them), and now watch golf because it's much more competitive. You also have the people that watch now to gloat in Tiger's recent string of losses.

As my first post on this site, I would like to use one of the smileys provided. Since you dissed my Yankees, Sorry bamaengineer. Just look at it as the rantings of an annually disgusted-with-what-the-management-does-with-this-team and Yankees-RedSox-own-our-butt Orioles fan.  You gotta take the Buck Showalter lead and insult teams better than you for no reason. I understand. I personally enjoyed his comments about Epstein. Yall have some good young talent, but you need a lot more of it. Yep. If they would stop spending money on over-the-hill talent and actually cultivate the farm system, I think things could be better. Love Markakis and Roberts, and I think Luke Scott could be a very good player. Need more pitching. Matusz is a future ace in the making. He's got really good stuff and seems to have a good makeup about him. Markakis is a player that really frustrates me. Each year I think he is going to have a breakout season and become one of the game's premier outfielders, but he never does. I really like Adam Jones too. Yall definitely got the better end of that Bedard trade. Luke Scott puts up really good numbers for a guy that doesn't really get that many ABs. I'm interested to see what he does this year since he seems to be in line to get a full season's worth of ABs. |
