Bama is going to have to get their competitive edge back if they are going to do any advancing in the NCAA tourney. They suffered some brutal blowouts on the road to good teams, coming down the stretch. They absolutely need to beat Arky at home today to get some of that confidence back.
They need a good showing in the SEC tourney, I think, to hold on to that 4 seed. Hopefully, CNO will have them ready.
They got wrecked. By good teams, but wrecked nonetheless. |

You do know that the mullet appendage is where we hang all the Natty rings, right?  Ha! The Brave's A and Bama' A are so different I do not see how people confuse them. |

... who wears ole miss and smu shirts, and is "from" Pinehurst, NC by way of New Jersey; has installed a reflective silver background tag with a black script A on the front of his daily driver.
Needless to say, he did not attend school in Tuscaloosa.

Should players receiving NIL money forego their scholarships and pay for tuition, books, and room and board?
I say, yes.
Schools should still provide food, training services, medical, and such.
Base lodging, with option for athlete(self-pay) for off-campus/private lodging.
This would open scholarships to players who would normally not receive them.
If you are making $100k/yr.+ b/c your picture is on a billboard, you sell autographs/pictures, etc., b/c you play football at BAMA.
Then you can pay your way and give somebody else a shot.

I have no problem with that.
As long as everybody is equal.
It really hurts the small schools and small market teams.
These are the very same teams/markets that ESPN et al allege to care so much about.
What about Title IX?
Lots of money from the schools to the players.
Unsustainable in the long run.

Charles Bediako is maturing into a good post player. He has stepped his game up in the last few weeks. He played 27 minutes against Miss St scoring 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 blocks. He is producing on both ends of the floor. He needs to work on his free throws.
His off ball movement seems to have improved, and the guards are starting to find him cutting when they penetrate. Yes, to both of these. And again BAMA fights and keeps fighting. |
