Why most people go barefoot in West Virginia... A man in Topeka, Kansas decided to write a book about churches around the country. He started by flying to San Francisco and started working east from there. Going to a very large church, he began taking photographs and making notes. He spotted a golden telephone on the vestibule wall and was intrigued with a sign, which read "Calls: $10,000 a minute." Seeking out the pastor he asked about the phone and the sign. The pastor answered that this golden phone is, in fact, a direct line to heaven and if he pays the price he can talk directly to GOD. The man thanked the pastor and continued on his way. As he continued to visit churches in Seattle, Houston, St. Louis, Chicago, Milwaukee, and many cities and towns all around the United States , he found more phones same sign, and the same answer from each pastor. Finally, he arrived in Newton, WV. Upon entering a church in the beautiful state of WEST VIRGINIA, behold, he saw the usual golden telephone. But THIS time, the sign read "Calls: 35 cents". Fascinated, he asked to talk to the pastor, "Reverend, I have been in cities all across the country and in each church I have found this golden telephone and have been told it is a direct line to Heaven and that I could talk to GOD, but in the other churches the cost was $10,000 a minute. Your sign reads only 35 cents a call. Why?" I love this part ... The pastor, smiling broadly, replied, "Son, you're in West Virginia now - you're in God's Country. It's a local call." American by Birth, A West Virginian by the Grace of God. And why do West Virginian go barefoot? CAUSE, When you're in WEST VIRGINIA, you're on Holy ground!

We have 1 proven player that we can build around next season. Releford should continue at last seasons pace or maybe even improve. That is, if the unproven post guys don't clog things up and/or offset his efforts with turnovers and fouls. Obasohan can give him breathers, maybe even longer stretches of relief, but only if he becomes a little consistent as he showed tendencies of toward the end of last season.
The two freshmen big guys cannot be relied upon until they also show some consistency of play, and this will not be known until we get close to opening league play. It is nice to dream of an improved and motivated Jacobs, but only time will tell. I am happy if he starts 2013 the way he finished 2013. That does not seem to be too much to ask.
Randolph and Cooper have potential to really help, both inside and out. Pollard also, but we'll have to wait and see if he is even in uniform. Again, consistency on both sides of the ball from these 3 gives the Tide a 3 dimensional attack, ---picking up a few 3's, rebounding with put backs, and presenting an open look in the 6-10 range now and then. Key is an unknown at this point, but another slasher to the goal would be an asset.
Engstrom is a senior with nothing on his resume to indicate anything but mediocrity. The best you can hope for here is that he'll spell others for 2-3 minutes at a time without costing us a 6 point lead. CAG has beefed the sked because he knows this is make or break time for his employment outlook. Some guys may improve this summer, others will not. But these are the cold, hard, realities so you may as well face them. RTR

I have a Facebook account. I started it a few years ago to keep up with my kids. A few old friends have found me and that is nice. I look at it everyday but I rarely post anything.
We post to your acct. from time to time---great fun. Sorry that your folks and ministry had to be dragged into that crystal meth / teenage lesbo thing, but there was no other way to make the joke really work otherwise. Your local police made a couple of us drop their accts., but now they are in on it with us and have agreed to "Share" and "Like" on other goofs. HTH Have an e-cred! I was wondering who make those posts. I asked the FBI to look into it and they said they would like to but all their manpower was tied up on this Devonta Pollard case. We tried to pin that one (the Pollard case) on you but the little kid we paid kept running off into traffic instead of to the neighbors.

Rivals ranked him #22 overall before Bama recruited him. That is about as good as we can expect, but the guy would not necessarily have to be a bloomin' idiot to become obtainable. Hopefully there will be an "out" of some sorts to minimize his amount of guilt in this idiotic story.
