"Go to hell auburn" sticker story

I don't see how a sticker that says "go to hell auburn" is worse than any other thing I have ever seen someone wear in public.  I don't know how aubies can call it classless or have a problem with the "profanity" of it when they say "war da#@ eagle" all the time.

That's a dangerous analogy.  If you're going to look at it that seriously and in that context, if you're wishing someone to go to hell literally, well, language isn't your problem.

Well the sticker didn't say " Go to Disney Land" now did it? And I was not the one wearing the sticker, so I hope you are not insinuating that I was wishing for Auburn to go to a fiery lake of brimstone, to spend the rest of their life in great pain and torment.

No, I realize you aren't the one with the bumper sticker.  I was merely saying I didn't agree with your analogy.  You're correct that the word is used with the same definition in the Bible, but I asserted that it was used in a completely different intent.  In this case, I think intention trumps the actual verbiage used...I think that's generally the case when people talk about profane language.

In short, I wasn't trying to insult or insinuate anything about anyone here.  I never imagined anyone would take it that way, but if there was a problem with how I said it, then I apologize.  I stand by the point though.
