I am dead set against a playoff involving more than 4 teams.

I'm also against more than 4 team playoff.  I think it will water down the regular season.  And, while sometimes are issues picking two teams for a playoff, with a deserving team being left out, I haven't seen a situation where there were more than 4 deserving teams.

High school playoffs start tonight. NCAA Div II playoffs start next week. These are great events IMO. The regular season remains very important.

Why so much money? Is there something here that we don't see on the face of the issue? I know College Football is a big business but 500 million is a lot of money. It comes to 1/2 billion dollars I am thinking. RTR!

BINGO!! I don't want to see a team with 2/3 losses get hot going in to the playoffs and knock off teams that are 13-0 and have played splendidly all year, but just have a bad night. Plus, it does water down the regular season, especially for the SEC, where every game is a knife fight.
