A leader needs followers, and Haylie McCleney has more than her share.

The University of Alabama’s freshman outfielder, who has played in exactly 11 college games, has 19,972 followers on her Twitter account. By comparison, she lags behind such national and international softball figures as Jessica Mendoza (33,969) and Cat Osterman (25,613), but is ahead of Monica Abbott (11,800) and Michelle Smith (10,673).
