I look forward to his book. An interesting but emotional story. I imagine it will be based on the April 27 tornado's that ripped through Tuscaloosa and took the life of his girlfriend and how football helped him put his life back together. This tragic story will have a nice ending with the national championship (then his Dad knocks over the crystal ball).
I bet some where in the book they find a place to put the picture of him wearing his nine rings.
I still haven't figured out why he has 9 rings:
3 national championships, obviously
2 SEC championships I suppose
That leaves 4 more. Do they get a ring for winning the bowl game (in addition to the national championship ring)?
He has 9 rings shown on his fingers in the picture that is on the front page. Three are BCS rings, three are NC rings given by the school and two are SEC Championship rings. Those eight I know for sure. I assume the ninth is a SEC West ring from 2008 his redshirt year.
Some bowls give rings but not all of them. There is a dollar limit bowls can spent on a player for gifts. Gift cards to places like Best Buy are popular these days for kids to buy Ipods, Ipads, flat screen TV, etc.
