Competition 'healthy' between centers Chad Lindsay, Ryan Kelly, Alabama coach Nick Saban says

Since Lindsay took over the position during the second quarter against Ole Miss, Alabama has averaged more than 7 yards per carry and surrendered one sack.

"I thought he’s played pretty well," left guard Arie Kouandjio said Tuesday. "He came in when we needed him, stepped in. He’s done a pretty good job, communication’s been pretty good. We’re just moving forward as a team. We’re just pieces of one big puzzle."

Saban was asked if Lindsay's strong performance would make it a difficult decision when Kelly was back to 100 percent.

"I don't think it's a difficult decision," he said. "I think the chemistry and how we're playing the last couple of weeks has been really good. I think Ryan is a very good player and did a nice job when he was in there. ...

Looks like we're finally getting it together along the O-line.   
Let's see if they can blow open holes in the Arky defense.

The "O" line has improved dramatically since the first game of the year. They still make silly mistakes, though, such as the movement penalties. It would be great to see a mistake-free game Saturday, with Kelly playing well when he is in.

In my opinion this is not the only competition on the OL.  Hill is pushing Shepherd at right tackle.  I noticed he got signigicant playing time at that position last game.  He may have played just as many plays as Shepherd.
