Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston is still the heavy favorite to win the 2013 Heisman Trophy despite the possibility that he could be suspended from the team if he is charged with a felony stemming from a 2012 sexual assault allegation.
According to sportsbook Bovada.lv, Winston is the favorite to win the award at 10/19, followed by Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron at 5/2.

I'm not convinced either.  CN shows character is a low priority among many voters.  This is only his freshman year, so why vote for him with all that is going on?  I personally don't see the need.  But there appear to be two camps, those who completely are leaving him off their ballots, and those voting him No. 1.   I agree with the writer who said the Heisman shouldn't be an ESPY, and there is room for "lifetime achievement."
