There is talk Kirby Smart will be contacted to check his interest in the UGA DC job. I can not see Smart leaving unless it is a head coach job.

Quote
Georgia defensive coordinator Todd Grantham will leave the Bulldogs to take the same position at Louisville, according to a source.

Grantham will receive a 5-year guaranteed contract worth $1 million per year, the source said.

Grantham was defensive coordinator at Georgia for four seasons, installing a 3-4 scheme that led to increased sacks and takeaways.

He should do great at Louisville with the cupcake schedule that they have.

Louisville will play a much more difficult schedule as they enter the ACC next year. They have home games against Fl State, Miami, NC State ans Kentucky. Road games against Clemson, Virginia, BC, Syracuse and Notre Dame.

That is not SEC good but it is a decent schedule, better than Fl State played this year.

I forgot they were changing conferences, it will be tougher. I doubt Kirby would take a lateral move job but stranger things have been happening this past week. Heck who knows, maybe Richt has had enough.

Still a cupcake line-up compared to the SEC. Nearly as tough as the Big Ten.

Didn't KS turn down the DC job at UGA a few years ago?
