I would hope if things stand the committee doesn't leave Bama and MSU at 1 and 4.  If there's a rematch it should be in the championship, not the semi-final.

Nope, they don't want an SEC National Championship Game.

Ironic that Mississippi State now has an easier path to the playoffs than Alabama.

We can still hope that Florida can somehow step up and beat FSU (a very real possibility IMO) which would put them out of the top 4 and move Miss State up to either 2 or 3.  That would put Bama and Miss St in a possible rematch for the championship as long as both win out convincingly...  It is tough to beat a good team two times in one season.  Bama has done that before but I really don't look forward to that opportunity again, especially this year...

1. I agree.  Bama is MUCH better off playing a non-SEC team than playing MSU again.

2. MSU has an easier schedule than Alabama, but they still have to sit and hope for a position among the 4.  But I think they get left out unless FSU, Oregon, Alabama, or Ohio State lose.

3. Next big issue will be whether Alabama gets in with a loss to UGA.  And does UGA get in, MSU jump up, or what!  Yes, I know Mizzou must lose first...

I have a feeling Mizzou loses at Tennessee.  A nightmare scenario for Bama (and the selection committee) develops if Bama were to lose to UGA in the SECCG.  Would Bama be punished for winning the division while MSU slides in despite finishing second?

What is this thing you speak of, "loosing?"    Undecided

Bama isn't going to lose again this season.  Fans need their championship fix... it has been too long.

But in all seriousness, win and in, lose and out, probably.  In the BCS era, 2003 Oklahoma lost its conference championship game but still made the BCSCG.  In 2001, Nebraska made it to the BCSCG despite not winning their conference division and not making it to the Big12 Championship game.  (Big12 must have rigged the computers in those days).  And or course Bama deservedly made it into the BCSCG in 2011 without making the SECCG.  When OK made it in 2003, the conference championship was their only loss.  I don't think a 2-loss team makes the playoffs this year, with so many 1-loss teams out there.

I don't think Mizzou loses to UT or Arky. I think we crush the barn and then curb stomp Mizzou in the SECCG, on our way to #16.

You know I think we will answer all questioning because we will win out. I also think MSU will win out and an Oregon or FSU blooper will happen and see what the group does. I too would like to see that explosive all SEC NCG. If we have to meet in playoffs with MSU that will be the NCG winner who wins it. JMHO. RTR!
