"My freshman year I used to go for the big hit because I like to hit hard, but now I would rather be a sure tackler," Barron said. "I don't want to be that guy who goes for the hard hit and misses the tackle. … I try not to go too hard and be too aggressive and make sure I can make the tackle, even though I might like to take their head off."

Maturity is a wonderful thing in life and it sounds like he's growing up. This kind of thinking will reward him many times. Roll Tide!!

This is something I wonder about. Barron is a perfect case in point. When a player trains 365 days he deprives his body of some rest and rejuvenation. Much the same as working out only 4 or 5 days a week as opposed to all 7. Tired muscles or tired players in general are when we see injuries in games or practice. So in MB's case, is his orthopedic surgeon (he knows best) recommending MB work all summer, putting more stress on muscles that are still recovering from last year. I used to hear a guy was working extra and automatically think it was a good thing, but maybe not. Will his body be completey worn out ( you know how they get anyway) during the big push in November?

I'm not sure but I would guess that the trainer keeps tabs on their workouts. You are right on about working out too much.
