I didn't get a chance to watch the debate tonight.  How did it go?  Were there any clear winners and losers?

Newt went off on Chris Wallace and the media and the crowd loved it. Romney did well--he is still the leader. Bachman and Pawlenty rolled around, fighting in the aisles a couple of times. Santorum did well but feels he is being ignored. Huntsman and Cain did well, Pawlenty did not.

JMHO:
1 Newt
2 Romney
3 Huntsman
4 Santorum
5 Cain
6 Bachman
7 Pawlenty
8 Ron Paul George and Ringo

Herman Cain is a sharp guy but he is out of his arena with all the politicians. He'd make a good Governor back in Georgia. They asked him about business with tax breaks paying out dividends, rather than hiring more people. He missed an opportunity here, IMHO. He said it still puts money into the economy. He was right, but should have added that most investors check the box for dividend reinvestment which then puts liquidity in the company till for expansion.

Is Cain the Godfather's Pizza guy?  I watched the first debate and I think he won it hands down, but he doesn't have a prayer.  I liked him a lot though based on that debate.  I had never heard of him before then.

Newt is very intelligent, thinks quickly on his feet, and will probably dominate the debates.  I guess I would give a slight preference to him if I had to pick.  He will have issues in the general though if he makes it.  But by the time the general rolls around I don't know if Obama is going to have much of a chance, regardless of who wins the republican nomination.  I think Newt would make a good President if he could figure out how to win the general.

Remember that several possible candidates have not made up their minds-- waiting to see how Iowa goes, I think. Governors Christie and Rubio, Rudy Guiliani, and Then Rick Perry (announced today).

Best manners: Cain, Romney

Best in Show: Uncle Newt

MILF: Bachman

BTW: Romney answered the "Romneycare" thing well tonight. Huntsman would make a great VP but doesn't carry many electorial votes with him. Also Huntsman would be a bad pairup with Romney for VP due to religion.  Pawlenty has done a great job in Minnesota but has been disappointing in making his case to the voters.

Gingrich doesn't stand a chance (thats what we said about McCain ) to win the primaries. I'd love a Gingrich, Romney ticket, or a Gingrich, Perry ticket (TX has electorial votes).

Gingrich, Cain- I would love to see that too.  I could get excited about that.  You don't think Newt has a chance in the primaries?  Too many people think he would lose the general so they won't vote for him in the primary?

By the way, TX will vote for whoever the republican nominee is.

I think Newt Gingrich won the debate, second would be Cain/Romney. I hope Gov. Perry gets in the Race. My ticket would be to see Perry/Trump ticket but before that I would hope for a Gingrich/Perry ticket. RTR!

I can't see Trump ever being #2 on a ticket.  His ego is too big.  JMHO
