Bama has historically been a team to play down to the lesser teams
I kept telling myself that and at the half when we had less than
100 yards passing and under 100 yards rushing I remember
a conversation I had recently with a former player ...
you see , this former player that is now in the pros paid a visit
to campus .
he told me that when he went to the weight room there was a
stench in the air ..
guys were cutting up , acting like it was a party more than a time
to put the needed work in to be the best
so he lit them up , he told them that the championships that were
won while he was there was because of hard work , lots of it
working everyday to get better at football .
he told them if they didn't do that and continued to believe that
they were "Grandfathered In" to winning and winning championships
they were not going to win anything ...
it took work , hard work , everyday to be the best ...
I hope our guys will realize that what he said is true
I haven't seen enough of it yet myself but I hope to ...

Great story X. "Grandfathered in" seems to be an appropriate description of the team's attitude as well as some of the fans.
