AD job, and even the asst AD, at Bama has to be one of great stress..and great rewards...I cannot see a guy who is in all respects the "AD, has ties to the area, is an alum, and all that..simply going to another school for a "Job"..which in all likelihood is not better in any sense of the word, has just as much if not more stress, and pays about the same..hey, when we're talking upper 6 figures, it's all about the same...if this guy has no more gratitude than this, he's just a shopper looking for the best deal. I agree that those who think they are indispensable are on the edge, and should be looking every week for a pink slip.
I don't know a lot about the guy, some say he's the reason we are in good shape compliance-wise..others say he's just another guy. Whatever, I think thazt if he wants to go to the Viles, let him go and tell him not to let the door hit him in the arse as he leaves. Then get the best guy we can to fill in...I have complete confidence that CNS will ride herd on the compliance people so that we do not have any problems, such as Textbookgate, etc.
Never let us forget what CNS has brought about at our beloved Capstone..not just a NC, but a strong program that DOES IT RIGHT!
There's a HUGE difference from being the Boss and being the assistant boss. It's what drives most people to strive harder to move up the ladder. Making say $150,000 a year is a lot for most folks, but making $200,000 is even better.
