"Florida State dismisses RB Mario Pender after arrest"

I heard a teaser about this yesterday, but didn't see the story until this morning.

    The first TPD officer on the scene heard a woman screaming inside the one-story home and a man yelling at her. Court documents said the officer pushed the front door open and found Pender straddling the woman with his hands around her neck.

    The officer then pointed their gun at Pender and commanded him to get off the woman and lie on the ground. Pender, court documents said, told the officer the two were "just wrestling." He got off the woman and was handcuffed.

The woman, who has a 1-year-old with Pender, said she was in the midst of ending their longtime relationship. His resisting arrest charge came from refusing to get in the police car – before eventually relenting – until Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher arrived.

Big-time RB.  Now we get to see which program will take a player with this reputation (hint: Aubs, Louisville, Cincy...).

No mention of Jimbo arriving....and just where did he arrive?  At the scene?  If so, how did he know about the incident, and why is he getting involved in a police operation when it's in progress?

Looks like FSU and Jimbo didn't learn much from the Jameis case.

I wonder if Jimbo & Butch Jones use the same "liaison" officer with the police? Is this something new covered in the Police Academy?

Pender told the officers he wouldn't get into the car until they got Jimbo there.  I don't think Jimbo came to the scene and Pender eventually relented.

I bet Jimbo was mad because the paper already knew before he got there and could offer some information about keeping out the newspapers. lol, RTR!
