Former NFL Lineman Dead at 40

I remember this guy, an excellent player. I remember watching when the referee hit him in the eye with the flag.


Former Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns OT Orlando Brown has died at 40 years old.

The team confirmed his death Friday.

Family grew concerned when they hadn't heard from Brown in several days, according to the team. Brown was found dead in his Baltimore condominium. The cause of death is unknown.

"I am extremely shocked and saddened to hear the news about Orlando Brown," Belichick said Friday. "Orlando improved as a player as much as anyone I have ever seen, as he went from being a defensive lineman at South Carolina State to becoming one of the game's top offensive tackles."

That's quite a compliment.

Prayers for him and his family.  It sounds like he was a wonderful guy, both on and off the field.
