I remember when Shuan Alexander was out for the Seahawks with turf toe.  I was surprised a toe injury would keep him out of the game.

What is turf toe any way?

This is the injury that hampered Johnny Musso so much his senior year but he played. Did you ever jam your finger playing basketball, feels about the same.

I've had that before, I just didn't realize that is what you called it.

It's actually a tendon issue but feels like a jammed finger. It's an inflammation in the tendons of the tor caused by strething them to an extreme, that's why it takes so long to heal.

We need a "Goostree" to design him a special shoe.  I was there in 1971 when Goos' shoe for Musso was the key to beating the Boogs (31-7).

Can you imagine BAMFTR and EL wearing tear away jerseys!
