So, what does a true test look and sound like for Nick Saban’s fifth Alabama team?

It looked like two big pass plays for No. 12 Florida and sounded like a piercingly loud Swamp early Saturday.

Then it looked like a dominating counterpunch by No. 3 Alabama, followed by a Swamp so quiet one could hear frogs chirp.

My concern going into the game was Florida getting a big play early and the crowd becoming a factor. It happened and we answered like a mature team. We have handled the Florida and Penn State crowds without any trouble. Those venues would affect most teams. This team is playing better than I expected and I thought they would be very good. The next few weeks could be hard for the coaches to keep the players focused. As long as the players continue to practice hard and keep their heads on straight Vandy and Ole Miss should be easy wins.
