The easiest thing to do is mimic what TS had. Seemed to work: Halftime, Politics, etc.
People are used to that and know how to use them.
Sounds good. Except people won't post serious threads in Halftime normally...so more could be included with the political forum...religion and social science categories for the smart people.
Smart people don't argue either religion or politics.
Seriously, when Halftime first started, people posted serious threads (science, religion, history, politics, you name it.... along with the light (jokes, conversation, noncontroversial subjects).
After Halftime was split off by itself, the trend was to post only very light and entertaining subject matter there. The only other option was the Political forum. So we began to lose threads about science, history, religion, etc.
