I was wondering if the SEC Championship win affected Bond's decision, but that wasn't addressed in any of the articles I found.  But Rivals had a good discussion of his fit into our recruiting class.  Here's their article:

Salient point:

WHY THIS IS BIG FOR ALABAMA

Landing Bond further strengthens the talent pipeline to Georgia and equally as important to Buford. At least one dozen players will sign with college football programs off the Wolves’ (high school) program out of the 2022 recruiting class alone; the 2021 class had six. This trend will continue for years to come. Alabama flexed their might in the SEC Championship Game against the Bulldogs, and the wins along the recruiting trail competing directly against Georgia will help keep those banners flying around Bryant-Denny Stadium.
