On the field, Alabama was 14-1 in those five seasons including Saturday's 38-10 win at then-No. 12 Florida.
However, wins against Houston and Mississippi in 2007 were vacated after what is more commonly known as the Alabama "text book case," which penalized 16 teams at Alabama after student-athletes obtained free text books for other students. The football team forfeited games in which players cited by the NCAA had participated.
That would make Alabama 12-1 in October under Saban....
