I really like this part:

LSU gives up more big plays than Alabama, 33 more in fact between 20 and 30 yards, five more between 30 and 40 and isn't better in any big play category at all.

I was actually surprised that they give up more big plays in every single category.  I guess it just seems like we would have more since a lot of them happen on the first drive.  But they give up more and apparently they happen throughout the game.  In our case we quickly make the necessary adjustments and shut them down.

I didn't realize how much more impressive our numbers are.  Our wins over Arkansas and Penn St. are just as impressive, if not more, than their wins over Oregon and West Virginia.  I really do believe that we have the better team.  That together with home field and the motivation from blowing it last year, I think we win.

I agree that, on the statistics analyzed, Bama is the better team.  The one area neglected is turnover margin, where LSU leads.  If Bama can avoid turnovers, it wins this game.  Here's looking at AJ to make the right decisions.
