Mississippi State is Next

After the tough loss to LSU Saturday night, the coaches will have their hands full this week in preparing the players for the State game. This is the true measurement of a coaching staff, having to pick their players up after such a mental and physical game and making sure they are ready for the next Saturday's game.

LSU beat this team at Starkville 19-6 and State gave LSU all they wanted. Hopefully Bama is mentally ready because State would like nothing more to hand Bama the second loss. Bama has had a history of struggling when they play in Starkville, hopefully that won't be the case Saturday night. State also had last week off so you know they will be at their very best for Bama. RTR!!

It's time for the leadership on this team to earn their keep.  We'll see how mentally tough they really are.

State is a capable team, albeit less quality than last year.  We'll need to get SERIOUS if we are going to win.

My hubby is a Moosissippi state grad...This is 2nd to the Iron Bowl for me in terms of misery if we lose.  Unfortunately some people who shall remain nameless are not gracious winners (they haven't had much practice with it lately)...

We thought it would be a trap game because we would be coming off a big emotional win. Well, that did not work out. We will take our frustration out on "poor old state" this Saturday night. This game will not be close.

I hope all of you are right about it being easy for Bama but they haven't made too many trips to Starkville when the game was easy, ask Gene Stallings. I still have the LSU vs State game on my mind and it wasn't an easy game for the Tigers.

Just hope they are ready mentally, they will be ready physically. RTR!!

Just a guess, but I think it'll be like Vandy or UTk. The players will say all week how they are ready, but they really won't be. Another 2nd half clock cleaning.

I just hope it's not a close game, style points with the BCS might have some weight to them if Bama is to have a chance to make in the back door to the BCSNCG.
