AUBURN, Alabama - Alabama registered two sacks of Auburn quarterbacks including one from linebacker Courtney Upshaw, which gave him 7.5 for the season.
The other came from defensive lineman Damion Square.
Alabama now has 25 sacks for the season.
Upshaw's sack gives him the most by a Tide player since 2007 when Wallace Gilberry recorded 10 that season. Upshaw has 15.5 sacks in his collegiate career.
Square, who had his first of the season Saturday, now has four career sacks.
"I just think they were tough to block up front whether it was run blocking or pass blocking," Auburn coach Gene Chizik said. They are just a really good defense. You don't become the No. 1 defense in the country in about every category by accident."
