If true then Smart is gone to Ga. I t hink this would be a bad move for Richt. If he struggled to win in the SEC least, how will he do in the West? His recruiting wars would not be any easier. Instead of just fighting Bama and Florida and the boogs, he would be fighting Bama, the boogs, LSU, and Texas. He would be wise to stay where he is, or maybe leave the SEC altogether.

I think he is tired of hearing how he is on the hot seat every year. It might be sweet justice for him to make the move, taking UGA to a 10-3 record and everybody loving him after wanting his head after starting 0-2. "Hey, UGA fans, think I stink? How do I smell from College Station?"

I'm not completely convinced that Kirby is a lock for the Georgia job.  Georgia is a top 20 program...they may not settle for hiring an assistant.  I hope we never settle for an assistant again.

Well, here in the ATL they think this is a bad rumor. However, they don't think we should have a rematch with LSU either. So yeah they can be wrong....

Finebaum mentioned Richt and rumor to TAM yesterday afternoon.

Also R C Sloccum (sp) talked with T. Tuberville as well early in week. That at least went around the tweets. Sloccum and Tubs have worked together before.

Probably just a negotiating ploy for Richt to get an upgraded contract at UGA. That said, Richt might benefit from a change in scenery and TAM can pay big bucks.

Well sometimes we have to cut our losses and move own. CMR might really be better off in A&M but so many times when you leave your old school things go really bad at other places, I don't know, just a thought. RTR!
