Steele looks so sharp for a guy who hasn't played a game in 8 or 9 months. The Tide is running circles around Tech. Tide 60-37. Everyone playing good, but Mitchell and Green have been outstanding.

Yep, Mitchell and Green look NBA ready.  Steele has obviously been staying in shape and itching to play, nice contribution from him on his first game back.  Freshmen are getting more confident.  Nice on the road easy win for the Tide against an ACC foe.

I don't know if Mitchell is ready or not. He has to do more than dunk the ball. He needs a good 15-17 foot jump shot. I think Grant has definitely prepared him to play defense in the NBA. I hope he hangs around for next year, even if he is NBA ready. We can have a great team with him coming back with Releford, Lacey, Jacobs, Randolph, Cooper, maybe Steele, and any new recruits we get.

Wow, how exciting can this team be and talk about a shot in the arm performance. CAG has to be feeling pretty good going into conference play with the way the team Ga tech apart last night. There was a couple of times when the team took the ball down low and kicked it out for the outside shot that only told me this team is improving from some of the early season problems they struggled with.

Andrew Steele came in and made an outstanding performance for not having played since last March, this can only add fuel to the fire of how good this team can be by tournament time. I'm wondering why Gueye didn't play, hopefully he hasn't had a setback with his knee.

Bama will visit the Georgia Bulldogs this Saturday and that won't be a cakewalk playing there, but hopefully Bama can beat the Dogs and start their SEC conference play with a road win. The game will start at 6 p.m and will be on FSN tv.  RTR!!!!!

Games 3, 4 and 5 in Bama's SEC schedule starting next week are @ Miss State, Vandy, then (2 days later) @ Kentucky.  That's a tough 3-game stretch, especially by SEC standards.

Steele ended up 2-2 and 5-5 from the line. That's pretty good (LOL).  JG doesn't know how to compromise. Either he fouls out or isn't aggressive enough to even get a single foul. But it seems as if CAG had a talk with him about no "i" in team.

GT couldn't hit the broad side of a barn (LOL). Glen (the San Francisco treat) Rice was held below his average. He can't shoot either. He was on the front end of a couple of alley-oops but had to pick one out of his teeth courtesy of freshman Nick Jacobs. Randolph did not stand out much but he has the BAMAWV watchful eye as a potential Tide great. We are in great shape going into conference play.

That's a tough stretch for anyone, even the Big East or ACC. What makes it even tougher is two of the games are on the road. Miss. State will be very tough, but we can win the game. The game at UK is probably not winnable. UK is just too good and deep. Our freshmen will really be tested.

If this team shoots as well as last night (not unimaginable), they are capable of beating any team in the country, on any floor. JMHO

I doubt a good team like UK, Florida, or Vandy will let us score 15 layups and 7 or 8 dunks  in a game like we had against Georgia Tech.
