I may be just me, and may have been discussed earlier, but JT seem to come inside more tonight.  Last night it looked like OU was waiting for the outside pitches.  Congrats girls.

Whew!! Bama went to Okie City to win this thing and now they have a good chance of doing just that. It will be very interresting to see how Ricketts handles the result of this game. It was a smart move by the coaches to move the batters on top of the plate and shorten their swing. I didn't agree with moving the outfield in so close, it is easier to come in on a ball than it is going back on one. They had two hit over their heads which almost cost them the game.

Kudos to Jackie Traina, she is as tough as nails. Good job ladies!!  Applause E-Cred

Jamos just posted about it-- Bama crowding the plate a little to disrupt the pitching. It must have worked-- plus Bama had 10 innings to study the pitching. But our bats weren't ringing off the hook. I think we had 2 three run doubles-- doubles with runners on from either walks or hit batters. We had 8 runs but need even MORE offense tomorrow.

I was really hoping CPM would put Locke in to close and at least give JT an inning's worth of rest. I doubt we'll see Locke on the mound tomorrow, so giving Oklahoma a glimpse of what she's got, really isn't important. I hope the enthusiasm that Bama came to this game with, carries over to tomorrow. CPM showed what a great coach he was tonight by getting the hitters to crowd the plate. As WV pointed out, we didn't knock the cover off the ball, but strikeouts were greatly reduced and 5 batters were hit that led to runs, runs that were produced by timely hits, mainly the 2 doubles by JT and AL. It will be interesting to see how Ricketts tries to adjust to Bama crowding the plate again as I'm sure they will do. That really rattled her tonight. I hope Jackie still has some gas left in the tank.

Without a doubt, the 2 best teams in the country are going at it for the NC.

Stay stoked, ladies and give it all you've got tomorrow!!! Great job tonight!!!

Roll Tide!!!

I am still amazed at Bama having problems with infield popups this late in the season. This almost cost Bama the game last night. I thought Hays had killed Reilly Boccia on the one play and then Reilly Boccia almost takes out Hunt on another play. The lack of proper communication on these plays can be very costly, a national champioship.

Hopefully Bama will have a good mental session today to discuss these types of errors. The 7th inning last night was a total disaster for this team due to mental errors.

Get'r done!!
