TUSCALOOSA -- Once Alabama running back Dee Hart made the decision to come to Alabama, he pressed on the pedal to make it happen quickly.
Instead of living out his final days of high school at Orlando (Fla.) Dr. Phillips, he skipped track season and the senior prom to enroll this spring at Alabama.
Hart's first verbal commitment was to Michigan, but he switched to Alabama in the wake of the Rich Rodriguez firing.
There was uncertainty from Hart's camp whether he would be able to enroll at Alabama for the spring, something the two sides worked on. And when the Crimson Tide announced its spring enrollees Hart's name still was not among the eight names listed.
Then in late January, Hart made it to Tuscaloosa in time for the spring semester and began offseason work in the Tide's Fourth Quarter Program.
Hart's hunger is already paying off.
