Talk about a choke job, it's hard to believe the Americans lost today.

The Ryder Cup is a great event. Tha Americans when into the single matches today with a 10-6 advantage which is a huge lead. Big choke job today. I did not see much until this afternoon but what I saw was painful to watch.

Tiger Woods never scored a point to help the team. He actually had a 3-4 foot par putt on the last hole to win his match but he missed it. This was after the Europeans had clinched the win, but it sure would have made him look better.

A resounding choke job by the Americans. It was sickening to watch. I've never in my life seen so many lipped out putts that the US had today. At least the hour and a half what I saw of it.The US lost 9 matches as a result of losing the 17th and 18th holes. It was a colossal  collapse.

One upon a time we dominated the world in golf and tennis. We have more youngsters playing both sports than European countries and better facilities. It's a mystery to me.

I was just talking to a friend of mine saying exactly the same thing today. In the immortal words of Vince Lombardi, "What the He** is going on around here?"

I'm not that up on what is offered in the European countries as far as different sports but here in America, it is mind boggleing as to how many different things that the kids can do. Some how I am thinking that once the European kids pick their choice of sport, it is 100% dedication to that sport, I don't think that is the case here in America.

Agree. We do dominate in swimming, track, etc. But I think a lot of dedication is given to Facebook and computer games.

Lack of mental toughness. The losses on 17 and 18 are an indication that our guys are soft. To eeasy to make too much cash.

I don't care what the Notre Dame people say, we were the best team that year (1966).
