if they beat Georgia.  And I just don't see Georgia beating Florida.  This year's Florida team plays with a sense of urgency and tenacity.  Georgia is the same ol' Georgia that we've come to expect from Richt.  No killer instinct, just loafing around and coasting through the easy games, then getting their tail handed to them when they play somebody tough.

Florida only has 2 more SEC games, Georgia and then Mizzou.  If they beat UGA they wrap up the east before the end of October.  It won't matter what happens in the Mizzou game because they will hold the tie breaker over all the other teams from the east.

What sets Florida apart from Georgia is defense.  Although today's score is lopsided, USCe has shot themselves in the foot with 3 turnovers deep in their own territory leading to three Florida TDs.  But I don't see FLorida losing to Georgia.

We could be looking at BCS #1 v. BCS #2, Bama v. Florida, in the SECCG.  With Bama having the decided upper hand, in terms of experience, this year.

I forgot about that.

In the first half it was a struggle and the USC mistakes really took them out of the game.  Now in the second half Florida is moving the ball on them and have gotten a couple of "earned" TDs.  UF always comes out of halftime and finishes strong.

I never expected this from Florida.  I know they have athletes, but they were so soft last year.  If they run the table to the SECCG and give Bama a close game (or not), and win their bowl, I think Muschamp deserves SERIOUS consideration for Coach of the Year honors.  I can't think of why he wouldn't win unless Snyder's K-State team plays in Miami come January.

The names being thrown around include Muschamp, Snyder, Penn State's coach Bill O'Brien (for coaching in "tough times"), Mike Riley and Dan Mullen (though not in that order).

Mullen is about to get eliminated from consideration.
