Edward Aschoff: I'd be shocked if Richardson wasn't a Heisman candidate. He's got great speed and strength and will be the focal point of the offense for the Crimson Tide. With youth at the quarterback position, the Tide will rely on Richardson more. That's not to say that either of Alabama's quarterbacks aren't talented, but Richardson is more proven. And like you said, he'll get a lot of passes thrown his way. Alabama loves to dump it off to its backs and he scored four receiving touchdowns last season. He'll also have Eddie Lacy to help keep him fresh. Remember, during Mark Ingram's Heisman Trophy season Richardson had 751 yards on 145 carries. What will also help Richardson is that he'll be used in the return game. That gives him more opportunities to rack up some all-purpose yards and to potentially get a touchdown or two.
